The first cell phone with a built-in camera, Sharp J-SH04, was equipped with a 110.000 pixel sensor (0,11 Mpix). It was also equipped with a special mirror, which allowed to take pictures of oneself. With the development of technology, sensor’s resolution increased, and then smartphones emerged on the market. This devices offered bigger (touch) screens and a front camera, designed for video calls and, of course, taking selfies. „one_pixel_me” is a compilation of 110.000 photographs tagged #me, downloaded from the Instagram, and then reduced to a single pixel size, which those pictures indeed are in a vast mass of uploaded photographs.
